The broadcast organized by International Vision University hosted [Üsküdar Üniversitesi](https://uskudar.edu.tr ) Founding Rector Psychiatrist [Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan](https://www.nevzattarhan.com) as a guest. Tarhan, regarding changes and innovations, said: “As a society, we must be open to innovation and ready for changes; the world is changing, and we need to catch up with technology and developments. We also need the concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship in our education system. We can say that whoever masters big data also masters all innovations. The world is changing; as Üsküdar Üniversitesi, we have studies in the field of neuroscience, and we are trying to catch up with science and adapt to innovation. When we look at the general framework, with innovations, human relations and professions have taken on a different dimension. Therefore, it is necessary to adapt to new professions. Changes in science and technology also affect social relations. Today's individuals are not in search of meaning; they do not have the luxury of questioning time. We cannot see these in the 21st century. With changes, the concept of happiness disappeared. The world is in a state of development and change.” ## “**Generation Z has flexible thinking skills”** Stating that education models need to be rebuilt, Tarhan noted: “Having new experiences and new perspectives in education leads people to find their own truths. We need the concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship in our education system. If we prioritize and grasp these concepts, we can keep up with the age of the future through education. It is not necessary to teach absolute truths. Unfortunately, our education system imposes obedience and discourages questioning. Scientific conservatism should not be followed. Saying yes to change always leads to better progress. Young people are more universal in this regard; I have hope for them. They are open to innovation and have the potential to adapt to global change. Because Generation Z has flexible thinking skills.” ## “**We need to be a production society”** Tarhan stated that if a society with questioning minds is built, the consumer society will disappear; “Minds that discover through learning emerge. Mental objections are essential; developed countries produce, and we consume. We need to be the subject of education, not its object. If we fail to do these, we will lose a lot. The master-slave relationship will continue. Young people should develop themselves with the truths of this era. Let’s see young people with ideals and goals. We need to adopt the technological and libertarian approaches of Western culture. Let's not emulate their hedonistic aspects. The future is important for young people. Let them have stories they leave behind in life. And let them form a production society.” ## “**Let's start the change with ourselves”** Prof. Dr. Tarhan, stating that one should start innovation and changes from oneself, said: “One should know their strong and weak points. They should prepare their goal map and mind map. A person who knows these and charts their path will not get lost. A determined person who keeps up with timing will find the right way. They will know themselves through analysis and consciously start the change with themselves. One should be open to innovations; seeing one's perspective from a broad angle is for one's own benefit. Innovative thinking is a thought that strengthens one's perspective. Having vision makes us innovative thinkers.
