Before the fall of Rome, an epidemic emerged. When Eastern Rome was about to conquer Western Rome, all plans were disrupted by a plague. It also affects global dynamics in the world. It was a process that also affected global trends.” ## **Income inequality became prominent after the pandemic** Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan continued his words by recalling the saying of Suleiman the Magnificent, “If 'What do I care?' is said about 3 matters, that state will come to an end”: “If shepherds, not wolves, devour the sheep, meaning corruption increases, and those who witness it say 'What do I care?'; if the rich who see people in hunger and poverty say 'What do I care?'; if, when the sigh of oppression reaches the heavens and great cruelty is committed, one sees it and says 'What do I care?', then that state will come to an end. Respect and obedience weaken. After respect and obedience weaken, the empire collapses because it cannot be governed. When poverty, oppression, and corruption exceed a certain level in society, a crisis should be expected in that society. After the pandemic, income inequality in the world became very prominent in terms of poverty.” ## **The capitalist system teaches wealth as the purpose of life** Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan stated that if a person has a goal and is moving towards it, making all their goals investment-oriented, that person will grow slowly but steadily, saying, “The capitalist system teaches people to be rich as the purpose of life. When people sit and converse, one needs to observe whether consumption or production is being discussed. Because the capitalist system elevates people, chasing pleasure is satisfying, and they take drugs for more satisfaction.” ## **The capitalist system's mold was broken during the pandemic** Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan continued, “Bill Gates’s company’s shares increased by 500 billion dollars during this crisis period. He donates a significant portion of his assets to provide water for children in Africa.” He added: “His intention is important, but there is political psychology behind it. Wealth no longer satisfies them. They want to dominate the world. The feeling of dominance satisfies them, and they believe they need to control the entire world. They go under the guise of philanthropy. The President of Kenya has a famous saying; ‘Years ago, Europeans came to us. We had land in our hands, they had the Bible in their hands, now we have the Bible in our hands, and they have land in their hands.’ He says they came and exploited it using religion. They are realizing this now. Currently, France is vehemently against Turkey's presence in Africa. France regulates Africa's five hundred billion dollar annual global timber policies. It doesn't sell timber globally but exploits by taking commissions from the timber policies it acquires from Africa. There is voluntary colonialism. They do not want to abandon such a system. The pandemic broke the mold of the capitalist system; income injustice occurred. There is a possibility of internal unrest in many countries.” ## **Capitalism ignores the poor and poverty** Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, pointing out that there is a capitalist system that ignores the poor and poverty, said, “There is a capitalist system that wants to live without seeing the poor and the others. This system is not sustainable. After the Cold War ended, capitalism became the sole superpower. Currently, Russia and China have state capitalism. Capitalism has become an ideology. After this, I predict that global problems will arise in America and India due to income inequality.
