In the program moderated by Religious Services Expert Yusuf Alataş, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan made evaluations on “Making Time Spent at Home Fruitful”. Tarhan, stating that life is a capital; “They say time is money, but time is greater than money. One who uses their resources well will not be dependent on anyone. My late father used to say, ‘I have never seen an honest person hungry, nor a dishonest person satisfied.’ The logic behind this is resource management. If an average person achieves this, they will not be dependent on anyone and will use the resources given to them according to their purpose. First, the purpose must be determined in resource management. A smart person thinks about how to use time most efficiently. If there is a time pyramid, time is utilized in the best way. The time pyramid is divided into two as the importance pyramid and the priority pyramid. This is also the method used by Google's persuasion laboratory. It tries to attract a person's attention by presenting things they value. If a person succeeds in being the subject (of their life), they learn what to use and in what dosage. We can list three steps in resource management as follows; control will be with the individual, the person will have a goal, the person will think about how to expand the pool.” he said. ## **“Time is greater than money”** Tarhan stated that to make the most of time, we must first determine the purpose of our lives and place that purpose at the center of our lives; “Life is a capital. If we use time in a way that expands it, we will have a very productive period tomorrow and fill our bags. They say ‘time is money,’ no, ‘time is greater than money.’ Because when money is lost, you can replace it, but you cannot replace time.” he said. ## **“We must place servitude to Allah at the most important point of our lives…”** Tarhan noted that the most important question in a person's life is, ‘Why am I living in this life?’ “Death is the only unchanging truth; death is where everything resets. We must place servitude to Allah at the most important point of our lives. When a person activates their belief gene, the brain releases happiness hormones. Buddhist monks achieve this through meditation; we can achieve it through prayer. We must stay connected with Allah. Science says that humans have a non-physical part. Our non-physical part is our spiritual being, our divine program. At the top of 24 hours, we will place the unity of Allah, the one who knows and controls everything. When that happens, everything we do is considered worship.” he stated. ## **“If we see technology ****as an end in itself, it makes us its slave”** Tarhan, emphasizing the importance of giving rights to their rightful owners in time management; “In the doctrine of equity, the most important things have more rights. According to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, the greatest right is the divine right. After that comes the right of the homeland, family, and finally, the individual's own right. If a person works sincerely, there is no difficulty they cannot overcome. Those who work sincerely succeed both in this world and in the hereafter. Patience is very important in time management. Today's youth are very impatient; they want everything to happen immediately. Families give tablets, which are cheap babysitters, to their children. When the child comes to us, they cannot speak or walk. This is called learned autism; it is not genetic but acquired later. Technology itself is neutral. If we see technology as a tool that leads us to truth, it serves us. But if we see it as an end in itself, it makes us its slave.” he said. ## **“You can manage time with categorical and strategic thinking methods”** Tarhan offered some suggestions to overcome forgetfulness; “To overcome forgetfulness, we must be open to new experiences. With this method, the brain develops, and forgetfulness decreases. We should manage resources in our brain such as memory and intelligence using the resource management method. If we do this, every part of the brain works in a balanced way. We must protect our brain by avoiding unnecessary things. Categorical and strategic thinking is done according to the order of importance and priority.
