In his speech, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan drew attention to the different roles of women in life and that each role carries a separate responsibility; “The term 'housewife' is very wrong. It is a very difficult job. A lot of effort is put in. Shooting a three to five-minute film means months, the labor of many people, and ultimately, this art conveys great messages. We should say home laborer instead of housewife. Her labor, the work she does, is not visible. She has the role of a mother, the role of a spouse, and if she works, the role of a businessperson. Under all these roles, she has more responsibility. Within this patriarchal culture, she is much more affected due to her sacrifice and giving nature. That's why saying 'home laborer' is more important. In the competition, which saw 408 short films from 17 countries, the first-place award was won by Bora Yavuz Subaşı, a 3rd-year student of the Radio, Television, and Cinema Department, with his film 'Snow White and the Dwarf,' which drew attention to the issue of child brides. The gala night, hosted by Gülgün Feyman, was attended by numerous figures from the world of art, politics, cinema, and media, including former Minister of State Kürşad Tüzmen, Presidential Advisor and Darülaceze President Hamza Cebeci, Retired Rear Admiral Cihat Yaycı, former Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen, Author Gülten Dayıoğlu, Founder of the Photography and Glass Museum Prof. Dr. Gültekin Çizgen, Art Critic Hayati Asılyazıcı, Sculptor Prof. Dr. Meriç Hızal, Ballet Artist Hülya Aksular, Illustration Artist Prof. Dr. Sema Ilgaz Temel, Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Narlı, DEB Honorary President Işık Sadık Ahmet, Glass Artist and Museum Founder Ekrem Özen, and Sculptor Dr. Öğr.
