#### ***First of all, thank you very much for accepting our interview. To start from the basics, what are the biological factors in the issue of homosexuality? Are there biological proofs in this matter?***

Biological sex is genetic and is defined as female and male. The existence of a third gender identity was investigated by Oxford University, but it was revealed that such a gene does not exist. This study is an evidence-based work conducted on 500,000 people. There are three types of gender. These are **biological sex**, **gender identity**, and **sexual orientation**. The issue of gender identity has no scientific or biological basis. It is formed through social and cultural learning. There are many proofs for this.

**Proof-1** Regarding this, there is the case of the Ukrainian “Feral Child, Oxana Malaya.” In Ukraine, a child with alcoholic parents was found. Since the parents were alcoholics, they didn't care for the child. When this child was examined, it was understood that the child grew up among dogs and was raised by dogs without the parents' knowledge. When the child was found at the age of ten, they barked like a dog, submerged themselves in water like a dog, and ate like a dog. Such a child. A girl was found, but they observed that she was neither a girl nor a boy. Furthermore, she wasn't even human. In other words, that child adopted the social role of a dog through social learning. Let alone male-female gender, the child was forcibly taught to stand upright over the years. This actually shows us that identities are something taught through social learning. It has no innate, genetic basis. Sexual urges exist as biological sexes, female and male. Gender identity is related to social learning. It is something learned later. A child behaves like the environment they grow up in.

**Proof-2** Just as a person who grew up among dogs behaves like a dog, a boy raised among individuals who act feminine becomes feminine. We already see this frequently in our clinical practice. Freud’s observation is also in this direction. You see the mother is overprotective, dominant, but anti-male. The boy takes his sexual identification from the mother, and because he cannot identify with the father, his gender identity becomes feminine or the opposite. In some cases, the family raises the child with the expectation of a boy. They dress them in boys' clothes at a young age. This situation is considered cute until adolescence. But after adolescence, when told to dress a certain way, the child objects and starts going down that path.

These are formed through social learning, and if the person accepts it, therapy is required.

#### ***What attitude should families adopt to protect their children from this danger?***

Adolescence is considered the age of peer groups. That is, if we can enable a bonding where they feel both belonging to the family without breaking away and feeling free, they will become themselves during adolescence and start making decisions about their own lives while remaining respectful and distant towards their family. In other words, it is accepted as processes of individuation and separation. Separation and individuation scales are also being developed. With these scales, it is investigated whether the child has gone through the period of separation and individuation healthily or not.

Psychology is mind, brain, and culture. When all three unite, psychological integrity emerges. There has been a 50% increase in cases related to homosexuality that come to us. It has increased even more in the last 5 years and will continue to increase. Psychologists who have received Western education say 'accept that your child's genetics are like this'. No, such a genetic code does not exist. Global capital and the UN Population Fund are funding homosexual approaches to reduce the world's population. In cases presenting as gender identity disorder, we first apply the gender identity disorder scale. After establishing the person's gender identity, we investigate their sexual orientation. If these individuals are in early adolescence, they benefit from treatment opportunities, but after the age of 15, parents only have a duty to warn. When the family pressures the child, they lose the child due to a negative reaction. After the age of 18, the family no longer has a say; it must be accepted that the child is a separate individual. However, the family should also use its right to disapprove, leaving a question mark in the child's mind. They should express that this situation does not align with their values. Families have a responsibility to teach their children our culture.

#### ***Even though parents try to protect their children, they are exposed to these discourses on the internet or among friends. Considering children's psychology, what attitude should be adopted on this matter?***

Religion, language, and societal teachings are among cultural standards. Currently, scientific robustness has taken the place of religious soundness. We have to accept this reality whether we like it or not. We must put religion into a laboratory, subject it to the test of critical thinking. When these conditions are not valid, young people do not accept the truth. In this era, persuasion and convincing methods are valid. Parents should not raise their child by frightening them. In the home, there is a feeling more important than love: the feeling of compassion. In a home where feelings of compassion and respect are maintained, children unconsciously imitate their parents. Parenting should be done in such a way that the child says, 'I found this, this is a decision I made with my free will'. Decisions made out of fear of parents are not permanent. It is necessary to create a religiosity based on compassion and mercy, not fear.

Every adolescent experiences identity confusion. Some psychology schools define adolescence as a ‘normal schizophrenic period’. Whoever the child's hero is, the child imitates them. Parents and teachers should present exemplary models for young people. The child looks around wondering 'who should I turn to?' and builds their own identity by taking examples from family and society. In such situations, role models in the environment are very important. The internet and social media have both threat and opportunity dimensions in this sense. If we use the internet positively, it leads to good characteristics. Young people live in the digital age; it is absolutely necessary to be able to present good examples in social environments. A family's greatest education is raising good people. Ibn Khaldun says, 'If you do not raise a good person, the legacy you leave them has no value.' The most beautiful legacy is to pass on good moral teachings to the child. When we do this, let's not be afraid at all; the child might make one or two mistakes at first, but then they will find the truth.

#### ***We oppose LGBT because it disrupts our family structure and harms our understanding of civilization, but we face backlash from the other side. We encounter the argument that we are harming them psychologically. Considering this context, how should we view the issue and what should our attitude be?***

The parents' approach to gender identity and orientation is very important and decisive. The official age of adolescence is 18. Until the age of 18, parents are the sexual guardians and in such situations, they have the right to approve or disapprove of the child's desired sexual preferences and orientations. The family may officially disapprove of the child's choices until the age of 18. Approaches like LGBT are completely politicized structures. These exert pressure and guidance on societies and families under the guise of freedom. It is necessary not to succumb to the pressures of such structures. LGBT and similar formations currently argue that pedophilia is a freedom and even advocate for pedophile marriages. This is not acceptable; it is a social pathology. Using a person without legal capacity as erotic material is not freedom. These ideas have no scientific basis whatsoever.

#### ***Regarding the LGBT issue, what would be your advice to those working in non-governmental organizations that deal with youth and children?***

Young people should be reminded that gender identity choice is not genetic, not related to biological nature, and is entirely acquired rather than innate. There is no scientific proof that a man feels like a woman, or a woman feels like a man. No one can be 100% female or male; these feelings exist within all of us. Whichever feeling is dominant above fifty percent, that gender emerges. These individuals can be advised to make decisions not based on their current state of mind, but by considering their situation 5-10 years from now. Because most of those who undergo surgery to change their gender may regret it later. Therefore, those who are undecided on this issue can be advised to think long-term.

There is a popular culture in the world that changes social norms. Hollywood and Netflix serve to change social acceptance. Those who determine social and family policies in Turkey must take a clear stance against the movement to change social norms. This has no scientific basis, it cannot be defended, but some groups of colleagues are working seriously as warriors and activists on this issue.
