Making important evaluations under the title “Being a Conscious Family”, Tarhan emphasized the importance of cooperation within the family, stating, “The magic concept in the family is cooperation. For good cooperation, a purpose is needed. In conflictual communication, the tone of voice is high, and there are frequent arguments, fights, and a tense atmosphere at home. The worst of the three types of communication is a lack of communication. If there is no communication in a family, one party is definitely playing for time because they have given up hope, thinking that whatever they do is in vain. Even in conflictual communication, there is hope that things can improve. But in a lack of communication, one of the parties has shut themselves off, or the relationship has become a master-slave relationship. In such situations, there are rules for crises. The strongest part of the chain should be its weakest link. Because when there is a strain, it breaks from the weakest link. In family communication too, at a moment of crisis, the weakest link breaks. This is entirely due to not knowing how to communicate. The magic concept in the family is cooperation. For good cooperation, a purpose is needed. The aim of family members should be ‘What can I do for the good of the family?’.” He said. ## **“The only person who can apply violence to a woman is the baby in her womb”** Making evaluations regarding the international day against violence against women, Tarhan underlined that there is only one person who can commit violence against a woman, and that person is the baby in her womb. Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan said; “Violence against women is savagery, injustice, and oppression. Especially if a person who has superior physical and economic power at home oppresses someone who does not, this is the highest level of cruelty. The only person who can apply violence to a woman is the baby in her womb.” ## **“People need to believe in the work they do”** Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan said; “Fifty percent of the lines on happy people’s faces are upward, their average lifespan is eight and a half years longer, and they experience fewer health problems. With quality human relationships, brains enable understanding even before they start talking. Strong emotions are contagious. Now, the neurobiology of persuasion is being studied. People need to believe in the work they do. Otherwise, they will not be able to persuade the other party.” ## **“Peace is a sustainable happiness”** Prof. Dr. Tarhan, speaking about the importance of healthy communication in both home and work environments, made the following evaluations; “Peace is a sustainable happiness. If a spouse comes home running, there is a warm atmosphere and healthy communication in that home. But if they come home as if they are going to court, there is no healthy communication, warm environment, happy parents, and children in that home. The same applies to work.
