At the protocol signing ceremony, held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Erasmia I. Koiliari and Prof. Dr. Emmanouil L. Pasparakis from the University of Crete, attention was drawn to genotyping and phenotyping in psychiatric studies. ** ## İçerik ![](https://cdn.uha.com.tr/content/files/img-0391-241209111558.JPG) The protocol cooperation ceremony, held in the Senate hall of the Central Campus, was attended by Üsküdar University Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Türker Tekin Ergüzel, Rector Advisor Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk, from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics Prof. Dr. Korkut Ulucan, Prof. Dr. Sevim Işık, Asst. These centers primarily focus on personalized treatment. The first pillar is drug blood levels that perform therapeutic drug monitoring. Meanwhile, we perform preliminary diagnosis of genetic polymorphism. The second is the pharmacogenetics laboratory. In this laboratory, we conduct pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies of drugs. We routinely apply these studies to our patients. We also have neuromodulation therapies. Furthermore, we are starting stem cell treatments for autistic individuals. For these reasons, I believe there are many areas where we can cooperate.” ![](https://cdn.uha.com.tr/content/files/img-0326-241209111630.JPG) ## **Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör: “As a university, we attach great importance to research”** Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, stating that Üsküdar has made significant progress in neuropsychiatry and neuroscience studies, said; “As a university, we are progressing along the axis of health sciences. Our priority in education and teaching is also to be a good research university. We are a university recognized and defined as a center of excellence by TWAS-UNESCO. As a university, we attach great importance to research. We are a strong university with our laboratory infrastructure and research capabilities. The NPİSTANBUL Hospital, which forms our infrastructure, is Europe's most prominent neuropsychiatry hospital supporting us in health and medical sciences. Therefore, we are making significant progress in neuropsychiatry and neuroscience studies. At the same time, in Turkey, in science and technology studies, we strive to guide society on a social level with important social responsibility projects and research projects, leading society in scientific studies, social development, and advancement.
