During the workshop, the pre-graduation medical education accreditation process was discussed in all its aspects, and the current status of the faculty was evaluated, identifying strengths and areas for improvement. Tarhan said; 'Quality is not a one-time audit, but a continuously evolving consciousness. Tarhan, who said 'Medical education should be conducted with an approach that not only transmits knowledge but also centers on humans,' summarized the fundamental approach of the accreditation process with the words: 'Write what you will do, do what you write.' Tarhan, emphasizing the meticulousness of auditing mechanisms, mentioned that the process is a journey that enhances quality in education and healthcare services. ![](https://cdn.uha.com.tr/content/images/ekran-goruntusu-2026-02-02-182337-260202062436.png) ## **Prof. Dr. Haydar Sur: "The first question families ask is about accreditation"** Speaking at the workshop, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Haydar Sur emphasized that accreditation is no longer an option but a necessity for faculties. Sur stated; 'After the university exam results are announced, the first question families ask is about accreditation. Not having graduates is no longer an excuse.' Sur emphasized that this approach considers not only the current situation but also a sustainable quality understanding, and he expressed that accreditation creates a quality culture that extends to every stage of education. ![](https://cdn.uha.com.tr/content/images/ekran-goruntusu-2026-02-02-182512-260202062533.png) ## **Evaluation conducted under six main headings** In the workshop conducted in line with national standards: - Institutional identity, - Educational program, - Student relations, - Academic staff, - Infrastructure and educational facilities, and - Governance processes were addressed under six main headings. It was also noted that strengthening the integration between basic sciences and clinical sciences would contribute to the quality of education.
