During the meeting, the duties of the Erasmus Coordination Office, project types, the student application calendar, bilateral agreement processes, and the digital platforms used were discussed. It was also emphasized that applications will continue until March 11.** ## İçerik  The meeting, held at the Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall on the Main Campus, was attended by academic coordinators. During the meeting, Gürkan Dinçer, Erasmus Institutional Coordinator of the Department of International Relations, delivered a presentation. Dinçer provided information about the role of the Erasmus Coordination Office, ongoing projects, the student mobility calendar, the duties and responsibilities of academic coordinators, process flows, bilateral agreement procedures, and the platforms used at the university. Information was also shared regarding the responsibilities of the Erasmus Office, including budget and grant management, grant payments, inter institutional correspondence, invitation letter procedures, the application and selection calendar, and the administrative coordination of student and staff mobility. Additionally, reference was made to the role of the Turkish National Agency in connecting processes with the European Commission.  ## **Attention drawn to KA131 and KA171 Projects** Dinçer explained the differences between KA131 and KA171 projects, which are the main project types for Erasmus mobility. It was stated that KA131 focuses on program countries, while KA171 involves project-based mobility with non-program or non-European countries. It was noted that a bilateral agreement is a critical requirement for teaching mobility, whereas such an agreement is not required for training or internship mobility. ## **Applications continue until March 11** The student mobility calendar was also shared with participants. Applications will continue until March 11, 2026. The English proficiency exam will be held on March 16, 2026, exam results will be announced on March 25, 2026, and final results will be declared on April 2, 2026. The meeting also highlighted the importance of academic units in informing and encouraging students to participate in the process.  ## **With the guidance of academic coordinators, the process progresses more effectively** It was emphasized that the international connections of academic coordinators play a significant role in bilateral agreement processes. It was also stated that direct academic contacts and collaboration opportunities have become increasingly decisive. The importance of academic coordinators guiding students in processes such as course matching and compliance with the 30 ECTS rule was underlined as essential for ensuring the smooth progression of the process. ## **Information on new applications** The purposes and functioning of systems such as “Apply Erasmus,” “EWP (Erasmus Without Paper),” and the “Turna Portal” were explained during the meeting. Information was also provided about updates made to the university website and new practices such as the appointment system.  ## **Information about the orientation program** Information was shared regarding the orientation program to be conducted for 39 incoming students from 15 different countries in the spring semester. It was stated that various introductory and social activities have been planned for the students and that the participation of academic coordinators is considered valuable.
