An event titled “Current Approaches in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation” was organized by Üsküdar University’s Graduate School of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, in collaboration with the Physiotherapy Application and Research Center (ÜSFİZYOTEM). Held within the scope of a seminar course, the event provided students with an opportunity to share recent developments and contemporary approaches related to their fields of practice.

The program took place at the İbni Sina Auditorium of Üsküdar University’s NP Health Campus and was attended by Prof. Deniz Demirci, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Health Sciences, along with academic staff and students.

Prof. Deniz Demirci: “We will examine current changes in areas of practice”

Delivering the opening speech, Prof. Deniz Demirci highlighted the purpose of the seminar course in graduate education and stated: “Within our master’s program, we have a seminar course. As part of this course, we asked our graduate students to share with us the current changes they encounter in daily life and in their areas of professional practice, as well as the latest approaches related to their fields of interest. We initiated this practice with the idea that meeting and getting to know each other more closely during the event week would make this gathering more productive.”

Graduate students delivered academic presentations

As part of the program, 16 graduate students from the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Master’s program presented their academic work to participants.

In their presentations, students also shared professional experiences, discussed challenges they encounter in practice, and offered solution-oriented perspectives.

Following each presentation, the event continued in an interactive manner with evaluations and contributions from academic staff.

The event concluded with a group photo session.
