Üsküdar University has made a significant contribution to the protection of natural resources by ensuring the recycling of thousands of kilograms of used paper in 2024 and 2025 as part of its environmental awareness and sustainability efforts. In recognition of its sensitivity and contributions in this field, TEMA Foundation presented Üsküdar University with a certificate of appreciation.

3,760 kg of paper recycled in 2025

In 2025, a total of 3,760 kg of used paper collected from Üsküdar University’s Çarşı, Health, and Altunizade Main Campuses was recycled by Sadık Kağıtçılık Company.
The revenue obtained from the recycling process was donated to TEMA Foundation on behalf of Üsküdar University.

3,130 kg of paper recycled in 2024

In 2024, a total of 3,130 kg of used paper was collected throughout the year from the Çarşı Campus, Health Campus, Altunizade Main Campus, the Graduate School of Addiction and Forensic Sciences, and the South Campus by Özel Kağıtçılık Company and recycled.
The revenue generated from this recycling process was also donated to TEMA Foundation on behalf of Üsküdar University.

Contribution to nature and sustainability awareness

TEMA Foundation awarded Üsküdar University a certificate of appreciation for its contributions and ongoing efforts in environmental protection and recycling.

In the letters sent, it was stated that the university’s contributions would be used for combating erosion, afforestation projects, and the protection of natural assets.

The recycling efforts carried out consistently over two years hold great importance for strengthening environmental awareness and ensuring a more livable world for future generations.
