Published by Ketebe Publishing, "What Brought You Here? A Therapy Story Through Dreams" delves into the role of dreams in therapy.
A Journey Through the Depths of the Soul
Author Nursena Balatekin shares the following thoughts in her book:
"Life sometimes knots itself within us; the soul and body drift apart. While one side resists the weight of existence, the other silently surrenders. Ahu, trapped between her academic career, marriage, and inner world, is not just a traveler in her own life but a lost stranger. While her body is burdened by responsibilities, her soul longs for serenity and wholeness. At this crossroads, she meets therapist Süreyya. Süreyya is not just a therapist but a guide, that is, leading Ahu away from the noise of the modern world into the forgotten silence within her soul, to the essence of existence. In this journey, dreams serve as whispers, an ancient language through which the soul speaks, guiding the therapy process. Each dream maps the hidden secrets within Ahu’s inner labyrinth, and it is both a mysterious mirror of the unconscious and a deep echo calling her back to her essence. Dreams are like lanterns burning on the bridge between body and soul, connecting the past and future, consciousness and existence. This book is not just the story of a client and a therapist, but it is also an inner compass inviting every reader to question their own existence and the ancient balance between body and soul. It reminds us of a powerful truth: When the soul returns to the body, life begins anew."
