Collaboration meeting held for four social innovation models

Within the scope of the “Four Social Innovation Model Project,” which is planned to be implemented under the chairmanship of Ümraniye District Governor Yüksel Çelik, with scientific consultancy provided by Üsküdar University and support from the General Directorate of Civil Society Relations of the Ministry of Interior, a collaboration meeting was held. The meeting addressed the strengthening of disaster-resilient community structures. Innovative models focusing on supporting independent living for vulnerable groups, expanding integrated health services for children, and protecting the family institution were evaluated.

The meeting, held at the Ümraniye District Governor’s Office, was attended by Ümraniye District Governor Yüksel Çelik; Dean of Üsküdar University Faculty of Dentistry Prof. Ergün Yücel; Social Contribution Coordinator Asst. Prof. Nebiye Yaşar; Head of the Department of Family Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine Asst. Prof. Ayhan Özşahin; Positive Psychology Coordinator Asst. Prof. Fatma Turan; Istanbul Provincial Deputy Director of Family and Social Services Ayten Yılmaz; Ümraniye District Director of National Education Mustafa Özen; Ümraniye Director of Social Services Muhammed Can Safi; Director of the Ümraniye Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation Abdullah Gök; Ümraniye District Mufti Abdulkerim Çelik; Ümraniye Director of Administrative Affairs Ali Gencer; and Ümraniye District Health Director Dr. Cemal Karaağaç.

Innovative models discussed

The meeting was moderated by Üsküdar University Social Contribution Coordinator Asst. Prof. Nebiye Yaşar. Topics discussed included strengthening disaster-resilient community structures, supporting independent living, expanding integrated health services for children, and developing innovative models aimed at protecting the family institution.

• Disaster-Resilient Households: Creating prepared, resilient, and informed household structures against disasters
• Protection of Independent Living (YAŞAMKOR): Supporting independent and secure living for vulnerable groups
• Child-Friendly Integrated Health Services Support Model: Comprehensive, accessible, and sustainable health services for children
• Protection of the Family (AİLEKOR): A preventive and protective social innovation model aimed at strengthening family structures

Joint roadmaps determined

At the end of the meeting, a joint roadmap was established to strengthen public, university, and civil society cooperation, initiate pilot implementations, and expand the models.

This collaboration aims to create an exemplary implementation model that increases social resilience and produces sustainable social impact.
