Ghanaian students gathered at Üsküdar

The Ambassador of Ghana, Sheikh Abdul Nasiru-Deen, along with Ghanaian students, visited Üsküdar University. The Ambassador stated that he closely follows the books of President of Üsküdar University and Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, and that he is one of his readers. He received a signed copy of Tarhan’s book. During the program, which was also attended by Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör, Ghanaian students came together and engaged in cultural exchange. The event, enlivened by dance performances and traditional refreshments, attracted great interest.

The program was held at the Emirnebi Conference Hall of Üsküdar University’s Çarşı Campus. Among the attendees were the Ambassador of Ghana Sheikh Abdul Nasiru-Deen, President of Üsküdar University and Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör, and many Ghanaian students.

The ambassador is a reader of Tarhan

In the friendly atmosphere of the event, Ambassador Sheikh Abdul Nasiru-Deen expressed his pleasure in following Prof. Nevzat Tarhan’s books with great interest and stated that he is one of his readers.

Delivering the opening speech of the program, Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör said, “It is a great honor and pleasure to come together with you here. As Üsküdar University, I would especially like to emphasize that our doors are always open to international students. Our university offers a highly active educational environment not only academically but also socially and culturally. We place great importance on the social and cultural development of our students. We are always pleased to welcome you to our university.”

Cultural exchange took center stage

At the event, which received strong participation from Ghanaian students, attendees had the opportunity to strengthen their sense of solidarity and unity.

Throughout the program, cultural exchange stood out, and the organized dance performances added color to the event. Participants were also served traditional dishes from Ghanaian cuisine.
