ISSTeam and TFTeam represent Üsküdar University at TRT World Forum 2025
Bringing together prominent leaders and influential figures from around the world, the TRT World Forum 2025 was held for the ninth time under the theme “Global Reset: From the Old Order to New Realities.” Üsküdar University participated in the forum with its student teams ISSTeam (International Student Support Team) and TFTeam (Target Friendship Team), both operating under the Department of Health, Culture, and Sports (SKS), along with students from the Department of Management Information Systems in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

The event, held on October 31 and November 1 at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel and Conference Center, attracted significant attention. The forum brought together experts from academia, media professionals, policymakers, representatives of think tanks, NGOs, and young leaders from around the world to exchange ideas on building a fairer, more peaceful, and prosperous global order after a period of unprecedented global challenges.
Discussions covered topics such as peace, justice, equality, economy, politics, society, and communication, with participants sharing their perspectives on shaping a better future.

Students strengthened intercultural dialogue and collaboration networks
Üsküdar University students had the opportunity to engage directly with international media representatives, strengthening their intercultural dialogue and cooperation networks within the framework of “Global Partnerships.”
The Palestinian struggle was highlighted as a universal quest for justice
As part of the forum, Ahmad Mozaik from TFTeam conducted an exclusive interview with Wael Al-Dahdouh, the renowned journalist and symbolic figure of Gaza.
Al-Dahdouh emphasized that the Palestinian struggle is part of humanity’s shared pursuit of justice and underscored the importance of young people’s awareness and solidarity in fostering global peace.

The human dimension of war journalism was discussed
Üsküdar University student Attalah Cazbah interviewed Sami Shehada, TRT’s field photographer working in Gaza. Their discussion shed light on the human side of war reporting and the vital role of the media during times of crisis.



Productive meetings with TRT officials
Another key part of the forum was the meeting between ISSTeam and TFTeam members and Selin Burcu, Head of TRT’s Department of Education and Research.
Asst. Prof. Gülcan Ayral, Director of International Student Relations at Üsküdar University, held constructive talks with Selin Burcu about potential collaborations aimed at strengthening the international student ecosystem.
This dialogue laid a strong foundation for future academic and cultural projects, aligning with the sustainability goals of “Quality Education” and “Partnerships for the Goals.”
Üsküdar University students gained valuable experiences by engaging with global leaders and key figures at a major international event. Their participation reflected the university’s commitment to multiculturalism, internationalization, and sustainability, reinforcing Üsküdar’s vision of global academic and social contribution.
