Peer review process at the Faculty of Medicine has been completed

The peer review process carried out at the Faculty of Medicine of Üsküdar University was successfully completed. Throughout the process, the practices implemented to strengthen the understanding of quality assurance across the faculty, to disseminate the institutional quality culture, and to ensure its sustainability were evaluated in detail.

The evaluation process was conducted at the NP Health Campus

The peer review process held at the NP Health Campus of Üsküdar University was attended by Prof. Haydar Sur, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Prof. Mehmet Aydın, Vice Dean; Assoc. Prof. Harika Öykü Dinç, Chair of the Faculty of Medicine Quality Commission; and Assoc. Prof. Ayça Demir Yıldırım, faculty member of the Midwifery Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Faculty members, students, and internal and external stakeholders also contributed to the process.

One-on-one meetings and academic sessions were held

The peer review process was conducted under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Ayça Demir Yıldırım, faculty member of the Midwifery Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Within the scope of the study, one-on-one meetings were held with academics and students identified by the faculty, and evaluations regarding academic processes were carried out.

Educational environments were examined on site

As part of the program, classrooms and laboratories were visited, and the physical infrastructure, educational environments, and practice areas were observed on site.
Through field visits and interviews, the current structure of the faculty was subjected to a comprehensive evaluation.

Contribution to quality-oriented development

The peer review study was completed as a productive process that supports the quality-oriented approach of the Faculty of Medicine, contributes to making strengths visible, and helps identify areas open to improvement.
