Psychiatrist Prof. Mehmet Zihni Sungur Joins the Üsküdar University Family

One of Türkiye’s leading psychiatry experts, Prof. Mehmet Zihni Sungur, has joined Üsküdar University. Sungur, a well-known figure in Türkiye with numerous national and international achievements, has begun teaching in the English Psychology Department of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

He has started teaching at Üsküdar University

Prof. Mehmet Zihni Sungur is particularly known for his expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies and Couple and Sex Therapies.

He previously served as President of the European Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT) and was the first non-US based president of the International Association for Cognitive Psychotherapies (IACP). In addition, he was awarded the Gold Medal by the European Federation of Sexology.

Üsküdar University strengthens its academic staff

Having held significant positions for many years in the Departments of Psychiatry at the Medical Faculties of various universities, Prof. Sungur is now sharing his extensive knowledge and experience with Üsküdar University students in his new role.
