Üsküdar University Azerbaijan Baku Representative Office was opened with a ceremony

Üsküdar University continued to expand its international vision and opened its representative office in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, with a ceremony. Üsküdar University Azerbaijan Representative Office, located in the most central point of Baku, will be attended by Azerbaijan's leading educators, academics and media representatives, and the representative office will facilitate Azerbaijani students' access to higher education opportunities in Türkiye and contribute to strengthening academic and cultural bridges between the two countries.

While Azerbaijan's leading educators, academics and media representatives attended the ceremony, Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör, Advisor to the Rector and Director of the Institute of Social Sciences Prof. Gökben Hızlı Sayar and Baku Representative Kon Veli Beyli were also present.

Not only an academic but also a cultural and strategic cooperation...

Speaking at the opening, Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör emphasized that this new bridge established between Azerbaijan and Üsküdar University means not only academic but also cultural and strategic cooperation. "Education is one of the strongest and most enduring ties between countries. As Üsküdar University, we see our academic cooperation with Azerbaijan not only as an educational activity, but also as a part of the strategic rapprochement of the two states."

Prof. Güngör: "We believe that we will further deepen our understanding of one nation, two states"

Prof. Güngör stated that Üsküdar University is currently cooperating with various universities in Azerbaijan in the fields of academic and education and training, and that these collaborations produce concrete scientific and cultural outputs. He stated that with the opening of the Baku Representative Office, these collaborations will be further strengthened and significant contributions will be made to the human resources of the two countries through joint projects. "Every investment in human capital is the most valuable investment in the future. In this context, we believe that our interaction with Azerbaijan in the field of education will further deepen our understanding of 'one nation, two states'."

A new level in academic relations...

Azerbaijani academics and education experts who spoke at the opening ceremony also expressed their satisfaction with the opening of a representative office by Üsküdar University in Baku and stated that this step will take the academic relations between the two countries to a new level. Participants stated that they aim to develop much closer academic collaborations with Üsküdar University in the future.

In addition to facilitating the access of Azerbaijani youth to higher education opportunities in Türkiye, Üsküdar University Baku Representative Office aims to create the infrastructure for a stronger and more sustainable strategic cooperation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan in the fields of education, culture and science.
