The Yalda Night Celebration, which brings tradition and culture together with a modern sense of entertainment, was held at Üsküdar University on the longest night of the year. Yalda Night, one of the most ancient and meaningful traditions of Persian culture, was celebrated with a special program that combined traditional values with contemporary elements. Symbolizing the beginning of winter and the victory of light over darkness, this meaningful night was held with strong participation.

The event, organized at the Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall of Üsküdar University Main Campus under the coordination of the Department of International Relations, attracted great interest from academic and administrative staff as well as students, led by Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör.

The program, which strengthened intercultural interaction, took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

In her speech during the program, Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör drew attention to the cultural and human values of Yalda Night. She emphasized that such events are important for recognizing different cultures and strengthening unity and solidarity.

Hafez fortune telling and prize competitions attracted attention.

The Hafez Fortune Telling activity, one of the most mystical traditions of Yalda Night, attracted great interest from participants. Symbolic interpretations from the Divan of Hafez added cultural depth to the night.

In addition, the prize competitions organized during the event encouraged active participation and created enjoyable moments.

The Yalda table was enlivened with photo sessions

The traditional Yalda table concept, decorated with symbolic foods of Yalda Night such as pomegranates and watermelon, became one of the most popular areas of the event. Participants immortalized their memories by taking photos at this special setting.
